‘ We believe each and every one of us has the potential for finding the answers within ourselves to face and move happily through any of life’s dilemmas and crises.”
What we struggle with outside ourselves is a direct result of the struggles within ourselves. We believe that each struggle we face is an opportunity for growth and healing. Often we repeat patterns hoping for a better outcome – but we are left feeling angry, frustrated and empty. This is the definition of insanity; doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result (Albert Einstein). There is something driving these patterns that is operating beyond our awareness, usually founded on a limiting, fear-based belief system. If we knew how to change the patterns that are not serving us, we most likely would have done it already. This is where counselling is essential, helping you to bring to consciousness these fear-based beliefs and correcting them so that you can make different choices in your life.

“My mission is to highlight, broaden and enrich the resources within you, so you can fully connect, engage and function with passion and purpose in your life. I am determined to inspire this natural power of growth and greatness which resides in you.”
Let me be your guide in helping you open to the life force that exists within each of us. If I can do it, so can you!
My life has taught me that the best lessons are the ones I have known up close and personal. I have known the uncomfortable, places of depression, control, blame, exhaustion,
lack of fulfilment, desperation with myself and my relationships.
These feelings and experiences which left me profoundly
stuck and alone, have been instrumental in waking me up to my own process of self-discovery.
The persistence and intensity of the discomfort knocked on my door and
I finally answered, bravely stepping through daunting obstacles, fearing what I might find on the other side.
What I found surprised me. I stepped into my fear and found a woman of integrity, passion and heart;
a woman who I always had a sense of but never acknowledged.
I shudder to think where I would be in my life today if I hadn’t walked through those doors.
I would never have guessed, that right there, in the middle of my ‘problems’
were pivotal tools for finding my freedom, deep love for life and a deep love for who I am.
Now my focus is to help you open and move through your doors,
to discover your purpose, passion, vitality and to fully step into all of who you are. As well, I am particularly drawn to helping people in the healthcare industry, as well as people going through big life transitions

“Helping You Open and Breakthrough”
I am an associate counsellor with Rainforest Counselling located in the hills of Mission, BC. My approach is both gentle and challenging as I know growth does not happen in keeping a comfort zone alive. I bring my genuine care, creativity, intuition, and counselling tool kit to support individuals, couples, and youth through many obstacles such as grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
I have faced challenges in my life where asking for help was not in my vocabulary. But that is exactly what I had to do to get out of a pattern that left me continually dismissing my own worth. It was in connection that I found healing and now I am passionate to share my knowledge and heart.
In creating a safe space where you are met with deep understanding, my hope is to guide you through your stuck places, explore and uncover aspects of self that may have been shut down in fight, flight, and freeze responses to life’s adverse events. All parts of you are worth bringing to the light to integrate a YOU that is alive, inspired, and authentic.

“We begin to look at the power in being authentically who you are”
Throughout my healing journey I have been able to find my power, I have been able to find my voice and I spread my light everywhere I go! Coming from a childhood where there was no space for me, I had learned to mold to what other peoples expectations were of me. I became lost, fragile and found my self in a toxic relationship with myself and others. I dove into my healing journey head first, looking for a change, looking for a sense of belonging, looking to find my light again but most importantly to find who I was; to my core.
I had so many very professional masks that I had worn to protect myself from others seeing the depth of my shame, guilt and embarrassment that I was carrying around for many years.
The cost- I became small, lost my voice, lost my power.
I realized throughout out my journey that my power, my voice, my light was still there. I had to peel the layers of my traumas like an onion, little by little. I had to take the time to heal the wounds and insecurities that have developed over time, I had to relearn who Jessie was/is.
The goal in our therapy sessions is to allow you to come just as you are, to dive deeper into self love and compassion. Whatever your goal may be for therapy. We begin to explore your family systems, family history, breath work, your health, wellness & meditation.
I bring my big heart, my light, my personal story of relatableness, joy and compassion to support individuals and youth through many obstacles such as trauma, grief, loss, depression and anxiety.
